This add-on allows you to add an electric motor to the Differential, Two-Speed Transmission, Two-Speed Transaxle, or Radial Engine Car kits. It includes a pre-assembled battery holder and motor, mounting bracket, coupler, and all the necessary nuts and bolts to attach the motor and battery holder to one of the compatible kits. 

The motor is quiet and safe: if you jam your finger into the gears of one of the models while it is running, the model just stops, without hurting your finger or the model.
